Charity Works with Monika's Rescues North Rocks Vet does a huge amount of charity work for Monika’s Doggie Rescue. Two to three times every week rescued dogs from Blacktown, Hawkesbury, Renbury and Wyong pounds come directly to us, where we give each dog a general health check, vaccinations, heartworm test and a name! It is sad seeing the scared and neglected state of the dogs. Often they are severely underweight, flea infested, matted and suffering from dental disease. We care for so many Doggie Rescue dogs that they even have their own ward in our clinic. They stay overnight with us, before going to Monika’s Doggiewood, where they receive well overdue grooming and a bath. Every week rescued dogs are returned to us to receive further treatment, mainly desexing and dentals, but sometimes hernia repair, or eye or mammary tumour removals. Our aim at North Rocks Vet is to get the dogs in the best possible state of health while they are waiting for their ‘Forever Home’ at Monika’s Doggiewood.
Of
course like most veterinary hospitals we give a lot of free treatment and care
to wildlife especially bluetongues and birds.... Contact Information Map to find us courtesy of our Yellow Pages website - Click here for details
